It seems the popular thing for MMOs today is to do some sort of comic-book related promotion. Not wanting to be left out, Funcom has made a deal with Dark Horse comics to make an Age Of Conan comic a reality. Click read more for the full info.

Durham, USA — June 2, 2006 – Funcom announces the creation of a unique comic book specifically designed to tie-in with the storyline of ‘Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures’, the highly anticipated Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMO). The comic is created by the award-winning Dark Horse Comics team, and Conan luminaries like Cary Nord, Scott Allie, Gaute Godager, Tim Truman and Tone Rodriguez are creatively involved. The unique comic book will premiere at the Comic-Con convention this summer, and will be printed in 400.000 copies.

Funcom has posted a reminder that they will be making an appearance at the upcoming Dragoncon event. Players will be able to check out all the upcomign Funcom MMO games, Age Of Conan included.

It seems that Funcom is so confident that their new Conan MMO will do well, that they have secured all rights for any Conan MMO games for the next 12 years. Click read more for the full press info.

Durham, USA - May 29, 2006 - Funcom and Conan Inc. has extended the agreement in which Funcom has the exclusive rights to develop any and all Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games based on the Conan license. The agreement gives Funcom the right to develop MMO games with the Conan brand on PC, present and future gaming consoles, portable devices and mobile systems until 2018. In addition, Funcom now has an option to prolong the agreement with five additional years.

Funcom has posted some new great-looking wallpapers over at the Age Of Conan website. The artists are working on the game took time out of their busy E3 schedule to post a few images for us to use, so check them out!

ToTheGame has posted a new Conan Q&A with some of the team at Funcom that is working on the MMO. They cover a broad range of topics from game storyline to future plans.
