Square has posted informated regarding the release date for the Chocobo Raising feature and the continuation of the Art Urghan storyline. The updates, originally scheduled for tomorrow's patch, are now pushed back until August 2 and 222, respecitvely. Oh well.

Square has responded to the recent news item that stated they are working on a successor to FFXI for both the XBox360 and PS3. To noone's surprise, they have denied the rumor. They go even further and claim that they are developing an MMORPG for the next-gen consoles, but it is a brand new IP, not FF related.

According to Gamefront, Square Enix is working on a successor to their on-line RPG FFXI for PS3 and Xbox 360. This is according to the Japanese trade journal Nihon Keizai Shimbun, says Gamefront. No more info at this time, but it sounds very plausable.

Just a reminder, Square has posted a quick word on the offical FFXI website that the Sunbreeze Festival, the FFXI Summer event, will be coming on July 25.
