NCSoft has posted the latest State Of The Game feature, this time around the title is "Shaking Things Up." The article provides several ways players can turn around the humdrum daily in-game routine -- ways to stave off that MMO boredom that eventually leads to a dormant account. This coming weekend, you will receive twice the normal number of Experience Points for every Elite Skill that you capture in Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. So join us this weekend—with existing characters or perhaps with a new one—and double up on the XP! The event starts at Noon PST on Friday, January 12 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, January 14.

The report on the Guild Wars Winterfest matches have been posted over at the official website. Peace and Harmony ended up winning the whole kit and kaboodle.

In a grueling final round between two European guilds with highly defensive builds, Peace and Harmony [PnH] endured to defeat The Celebrities [Cel] and win the Winterfest Championship. The Celebrities and Peace and Harmony held the two top spots heading into Sunday's single elimination rounds, where they continued their domination over the rest of the field to face each other for a second time.
