Massively multiplayer game publisher NCsoft has revealed that the FBI has shut down the operations of L2Extreme - a group responsible for running unauthorised servers for the popular online title Lineage II.

NCSoft has posted word that large alliances will be forcibly disbanded after yesterday's maintenance.

Alliances that contain more than three clans will be forcibly re-formed during the maintenance period on Tuesday, October 24. The clan that created the alliance and the first two clans that joined will remain in the alliance, and the other clans will be removed.
