Just a quick reminder folks, the big announcement from Blizzard is due within 12 hours or so. As you can see from their website, they started all the way back with Warcraft and then every day or so, changed the splash screen to a later game. Well, now we are at the end of the released games, so what wil be the next big title? World of Starcraft? Diablo 3? Warcraft IV?

Apparently, NCSoft has posted a 41% decrease in pre-tax profits, blaming the loss on product development costs. THe leader in MMORPG games certainly does produce more than their share of titles, maybe it is time to cut back.

The new Crytek powered MMORPG game from NCSoft, called Aion, is fast shaping up. The game, as the title says, is powered by the same technology that is pushing the visual feast that is "Crysis."The game revolves around three warring factions, two of which will be player-populated (likley the third will be available with the first expansion). One of the things that sets Aion apart is that the player's actions in the faction may have a bearing on how the thrid, AI controlled sect behaves. The game has no release date yet, check the link for the screens, which look as good as Guild Wars,if not better.
