SOE has posted a Friday Feature this week which tells players about the Chu-Gon Dar Cube. The Chu-Gon Dar Cube is a quest reward that is part of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion for Star Wars Galaxies which can be used to transform the items and loot found on Mustafar into new items.

For all of you who maintain that the sweeping changes that were recently made to Star Wars Galaxies were not that bad, take a look at these numbers.

Valcyn Population: 0455
Sunrunner Population: 0493
Scylla Population: 0457
Naritus Population: 0496
Kettemoor Population: 0522

That is just a sampling of the whole list, and those servers are some of the most populous. Overall the total is somewhere around 10k players. MMO developers should take SWG as an example of how not to keep players on board. It is time for Lucas to start really comitting to getting things fixed up or else these numbers may dwindle even further. Click read more for the full list.

The official SWG website has posted pictures and a roundup of the recent event where the players and devs got to butt-heads. The event was a success overall, and from the picutres it looks like it was a real party.

Lately there have been rumors circulating that Star Wars Galaxies will soon part ways with Sony Online Entertainment at the request of LucasArts. Lucasarts Community Manager Casey Keefe says this is totally untrue. Of course, LucasArts would not reveal such a thing even if it was being discussed until the decision was finalized.
