According to Geoff Hickman, Senior Producer of Warhammer Online for EA Mythic, the game could be ready for launch today. In an interview with Eurogamer, though, he explains why the game has been pushed back until Fall of this year. Apparently the title needs much polishing, and EA does not want to release a fully playable but bland game.

Today, it was announced that Warhammer: Online: Day of Reckoning, received over 300,000 signups for the coming closed beta test. This is a very good indicator of just how popular the game is gong to be. The Open beta starts in just a few weeks, we cannot wait to hear how many applied for that. GOA today announced that more than 300,000 players have signed up for the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) closed beta test. In little more than a month, EA Mythic’s highly-anticipated Warhammer Online has amassed a growing army of willing participants in Europe and North America, making the beta one of the most popular in massively multiplayer gaming history.

New at WarCray this afternoon is this Warhammer Online Q&A. EA Mythic's Richard Duffek is asked about the use of NPCs during Instanced RvR, taking territories, character creation, instancing, and the game rating.

The latest Warhammer Online Q&A can be found at Ten Ton Hammer. Senior designer Josh Drescher is asked about a few of the game's classes, and possible crafting differences between Empire and Chaos factions.
