It seems the EU World Of Warcraft website has been hacked. No telling how long it will last so check it out now for a big LOL.

This story is a bit complicated so listen up. Basically, some Horde players in Wow killed an NPC to gain a few gold for each party member. They farmed the NPC for a few hours. Blizzard decided this was an exploit, and banned them all for 3 days. The link has the full details, tell us what you think.

Blizzard developers were on hand at major release events in London, Paris, Berlin, and Stockholm to usher in the expansion together with thousands of European players. Not that this should come as a surprise to anyone, but WoW: The Burning Crusade is breaking all kinds of sales records. Over 1.2 million copies were sold on day 1 alone, with 4 million expected within the week, if it has not hit that mark already. Click read more for the full press info.

PARIS, France -- Blizzard Entertainment® today announced that World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade™ has broken the day-one sales record to become the fastest-selling PC game ever in North America and Europe, with a worldwide total of nearly 2.4 million copies sold in the first 24 hours of availability. The Burning Crusade, the first expansion set for World of Warcraft, was simultaneously released in North America, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia on 16 January, and on 17 January in Australia and New Zealand.

Over at FiringSquad today is this World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Q&A, probably the last we will see before release. They speak with designer Jeff Kaplan about the development and production, the new gameplay elements, the new mobs, future update plans for the game (not much given), and what it takes to support a game that .01% of the world's population subscribes to.
