According to Geoff Hickman, Senior Producer of Warhammer Online for EA Mythic, the game could be ready for launch today. In an interview with Eurogamer, though, he explains why the game has been pushed back until Fall of this year. Apparently the title needs much polishing, and EA does not want to release a fully playable but bland game.

Electronic Arts has just announced it has acquired Mythic Entertainment. Mythic is best known for the MMORPG games Dark Age of Camelot and the upcoming Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The company will become EA Mythic upon completion of the acquisition, which is expected to happen during the second quarter of fiscal 2007. No word on how this will affect the games. According to this post on the EA Games forums, when a forum member inquired about E&B, an admin actually responded. He said that he would pass the word on to the higher-ups. Of course, this could mean nothing, but it certainly does give some hope to those E&B fans out there.
