The latest installment of the get to know the EQ II developers feature is posted over at the official website. This installment deals with Emily "Domino" Taylor, one of the EQ II programmers. Check it out.

In light of today's merger of the European PvP servers into Venekor, the EQII team has decided to provide a week of free character transfers to all players. From May 1st through the 7th, players can transfer their characters to another server of a matching rules set at no charge. These free transfers will begin at 12:01 AM PDT.

For those of you who plan to migrate an EQ2 character to a PvP or non PvP server, you better check out this latest post by SOE over at the official website. It details the move, and what steps players must take, as well as some of the resulting side effects.

If you remember last weeks GU34 Preview, there is a lot to be excited about in the next Game Update. The last Class Hat is finally out; there is a new player mount, and a few new structural items that are very useful to say the least. Let's get ourselves a sneak peek at these items!

Dungeon Revamp, Deathfist Citadel
Designed for level 38-42 adventurers, this base of operations for the evil Deathfist Orcs gets a springtime facelift, with new quests, completely new population (including named and boss NPC’s), improved quest rewards and recipes for the new and much-coveted Blood Iron armor.

April Fool’s Day (aka Bristlebane Day)
There’s a special gag in store for players on April 1st…. Can’t tell you what it is and spoil the joke…

Swords of Destiny –Knights in the Round
The Acadechism is the starting point for chapter 2 of this new quest line (level range 64-69). Players will brave the mysteries and dangers of the Acadechism, the Tower of Vhalen and the Ruins of Valmarr to unearth the secret of the enchanted blade Soulfire,.

New Butcherblock Quests and A New Profession Hat
For the level 25-35 crowd, several new quests have been added to Butcherblock Mountains, complete with new rewards and loot.

A new profession hat has also been added for the Conjuror.

SOE has posted a brand new feature entitled "The Name Game" over at the oficial EQ2 website. The post basically covers character naming, why it is so important to put thought into your avatar's name, and ways to keep your name safe and distinct.
