Thomas "Hanse" Eidson is back for the next installment in his dev diary series! Thomas is a System Designer on Star Wars Galaxies. In this diary, Thomas shows us the process behind the creation of the beast mastery system in Chapter 6.

The latest installment of the Friday Feature series is now posted over at the official Star Wars Galaxies website. This time around, the tips include controlling and improving your Beast Master class. Check it out.

In the midst of five days of Star Wars movie screenings, collectible shopping, costume shows, and tattoo competitions at Celebration IV, Star Wars Galaxies developers and players came together to meet, greet, and share war stories at the Star Wars Galaxies Community Summit. More than 150 passionate SWG players joined Lorin "DeadMeat" Jameson, Thomas "Blixtev" Blair, Jesse "Loche" Benjamin, Mike "Fiasco" Farone and Tony "Teesquared" Tyson from Sony Online Entertainment, and Jake "jneri" Neri and Tim "Neif" Temmerman from LucasArts to talk about what's been happening in the game and what new features are coming down the road.

There is apparently a second part to the SWG Chapter 6 update, and it will take plce today. There are many changes stll beign made so check the list at the link.

This week I'm going to talk about another tool I developed for Star Wars Galaxies. This tool is used to define regions on our planets. To stay consistent with our creative naming convention for tools, this one is called … the Region Editor.
