Apparently, ex-subscribers to Lord of the Rings Online have been granted a free chance to revisit the MMO and explore updates made to the game since launch. The "Welcome back to LotRO" campaign, as the free experience is called, runs from May 8 through to May 12.

Dol Haedir, found in the far in the north-west reaches of Evendim, plays host to the vicious Gauredain, wild men who have long troubled this region. Travellers would be well-advised to avoid Dol Haedir unless they are prepared to meet these vicious eaters of flesh.

Thursday, 18th October (2pm GMT) - Codemasters Online and Turbine, Inc. announced the details of the third free content update for subscribers to The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™. Book 11: Defenders of Eriador continues the epic story of The Lord of the Rings Online adding over 100 new quests, a new 12-player raid, two new areas in Middle-earth and introduces the player housing system. Book 11: Defenders of Eriador will be available to European subscribers of The Lord of the Rings Online on October 25, 2007.
